How to feed a cleft child?
Feeding babies with cleft palate is the most crucial step in cleft care.
Post Operation Care - Lip Surgery
Feeding resumes 3 to 4 hours after the surgery. Start with sips of water followed by milk or clear fluids.
Post Operation Care - Palate Surgery
Feeding resumes 3 to 4 hours after the surgery. Start with sips of water followed by milk or clear fluids.
Post Operation Care - Alveolar Bone Grafting
Graft will be taken from the hip.Soft diet after 24 hours.
Post Operation Care - Orthognathic Surgery
Feeding resumes 4 hours after the surgery. Start with sips of water. The first day diet will be only clear fluids. Soft diet after for 4-6 weeks.
